Falcon Football Staff To Host Meet and Greet On July 25th

Air Force head football coach Troy Calhoun and members of his coaching staff will host a meet and greet for fans and discuss the upcoming 2008 football season this Friday, July 25th. The meet and greet will take place from 4 to 6 pm in the Elbo Room at The Ritz Grill, 15 .S Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs.

Ryan Kemp travels to Paris, Dubai during Academy summer program

Senior defensive lineman Ryan Kemp was selected to travel with fellow cadets Amanda Beck, Sean Callahan, Kenneth Montague and Anne Marie Wathen on the 2008 Olmsted Trip to Paris, Dubai and Reims. The trip was part of the Academy's summer programs.

Charles and Kemp Named to Preseason All-MWC Team

The Mountain West Conference announced its 2008 preseason all-conference team today as selected by members of the league's media. Max Hall (BYU) was named Preseason MWC Offensive Player of the Year, Jason Phillips (TCU) was selected Preseason MWC Defensive Player of the Year, Louie Sakoda (Utah) was chosen Preseason MWC Special Teams Player of the Year and Braylon Broughton (TCU) was tabbed Preseason MWC Freshman of the Year. OL Nick Charles and DL/LB Ryan Kemp earned preseason all-conference honors for the Falcons.

Two-time defending Mountain West Conference football champion BYU was predicted to capture its third consecutive title in 2008 in a poll of media members. Air Force was picked to finish in sixth place. [+]

Air Force football best in MWC, among the nation's best in academic success

The Air Force Academy football team, along with men's basketball, wrestling and men's and women's outdoor track and field were honored by the NCAA for being in the top 10 percent of their respective sports in the Academic Performance Reports (APR), released recently. [+]

Individual home football game tickets on sale now

The 2008 football season is sure to be an exciting one with the Falcons looking to build off last year's 9-4 record, including 6-0 at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons will open at home on August 30th for a Parent's weekend game against Southern Utah. Ticket prices for all home games range from $5 - $50. [+]

Academy offers special opportunity to support local troops

The Air Force Academy athletic department is featuring a special program called Season Tickets for Troops for fans and graduates to help enlisted members of the local military community attend Falcon Football games. Fans can support the program by purchasing season football season tickets and helping underwrite the cost of a season ticket for enlisted members and their families. Fans can purchase a $100 season ticket beginning today through July 31 that in turn will be offered to an enlisted member and their family at a heavily discounted price at all local service bases. The tickets will be made available to enlisted members in early August at just $4.00 per game or $20 for the season to Air Force football in a reserved sections normally costing $144. [+]

USA Women's Volleyball match vs. Brazil on Wednesday is sold out

The USA-Brazil volleyball match Wed., June 11, at the Olympic Training Facility in Colorado Springs is sold out. Tickets are still available for the Friday night match at the Olympic Training Facility and the Saturday night match at the Air Force Academy.
