Men's Ice Hockey

Sophomore winger Sam Stitz helped lead Air Force to a runner-up finish at the Desert Hockey Classic, Jan. 2-3, in Tempe, Ariz. Stitz had a career high four points (2-2-4) to help lead Air Force to an 8-2 win over Michigan Tech in the first round. He tied his career high with two goals against the Huskies, one of them on the power play, and both of his assists were primary assists. He added a game-high five shots on goal vs. MTU with one blocked shot and was a +2 in the series. Stitz is second on the team with eight goals and is third on the team with 20 points in 20 games this season.
