Rifle Shoots with Wyoming

USAFA, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy rifle team fired its first match of the season against the University of Wyoming. Both the first and second team Falcon shooters defeated the Wyoming Cowboys. The Air Force Silver team shot 4554 out of 4800 possible in the smallbore event and 1487 out of 1600 in the air rifle event.

In smallbore, the Falcons were led by first class cadets Damion Geopfert with an 1153 out of 1200 and Rachael Westergren with an 1143 out of 1200. In the air rifle event team captain Kevin Mandrik led with a 373 out of 400 and second went to cadet third class Nick Breffitt with a 372 out of 400.

The Falcons are scheduled to compete against UTEP this Saturday in El Paso.
