Gornick Named College Hockey America Player of the Week

U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force junior forward Brian Gornick
was named the College Hockey America Offensive Player of the Week for his
performance in leading the Falcons to a split with conference rival Findlay,
Nov. 3-4.
A 6-foot-5, 210 pounder from St. Paul, Minn., Gornick registered a hat trick in a 3-1 win over Findlay, Nov. 4. Two of Gornick's three goals came on the power play. The hat trick was the second of Gornick's first career. He leads the team with six goals and four power-play goals this season.
Gornick earned second-team all-CHA honors last season and was named to the preseason all-CHA team this season. The player of the week award is the first of his career. Gornick became the fourth Falcon to earn CHA player of the week honors this season, the most of any CHA team.
