Cross Country Teams Travel To Greenville, South Carolina

The Falcons will split forces to compete in the NCAA Pre-Meet at Furman University on Saturday, while the Falcons' "B" teams will compete at the Fort Hays Tiger Invitational in Kansas.
Thirty-seven teams will participate in the collegiate races in South Carolina. The women's 6,000 meter "Purple Competition" will start at 10:45. The men's 8,000 meter "Gold Competition" will start at 12:35. In the "Gold" race, 10 of the top 30 teams are nationally ranked. The women's "Purple" will field 11 nationally ranked teams. Five teams will represent the Mountain West Conference (Brigham Young, Colorado State, New Mexico, Utah and Air Force).
The Falcons' men's "B" team is looking to duplicate its first-place sweep of the Tiger Invitational, while the women's team will attempt to better its third-place finish from 2000. The races are slated to start at 10 a.m. in Fort Hays, Kansas.
