Nine Women Named To Conference Academic Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, CO. -
A total of 207 student-athletes earned MWC academic honors in
2000-01, including 127 women and 80 men. BYU led the way with 52 honorees,
followed by Colorado State with 34 and New Mexico with 31. Wyoming placed 29
student-athletes on the MWC academic team, while Air Force had 25 and Utah had
19. San Diego State and UNLV, each sponsoring only women's track and field
programs, followed with 10 and seven Academic All-MWC award winners,
respectively. A total of 66 student-athletes were repeat selections from 2000. Following is a list of Academy athletes named to the team
