Women's Cross Country Team Finishes Fourth at CSU

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. --- The men's team was not the only Air Force team with faster times-the Falcon women are running faster too. The women finished fourth with 115 points in the nine-team race. The Falcons finished ahead of Wyoming (182) and Denver (197). The Rams won the race with 34 points followed by Western State (37) and Adams State (72).
Top Female Runners: Jean Taylor was the Air Force leader with a time of 22:33 (22:51). Taylor finished as the 18th runner in the field of 82 women. Elissa Ballas followed in 21st place with a time of 22:49 (23:35), Anne Chumlea was 30th at 23:22 (24:32), Brandess Pardue was 31st in 23:29 (24:02), Lara Coppinger was 32nd in 23:30 (24:34), Kelly McPherson 34th in 23:37 (23:55), and newcomer Cindy Dawson placed 44th with a time of 24:46.
