Air Force Cross Country at Cowboy Jamboree

On Saturday, Oct. 5, the cross country teams will compete in the 66th annual Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla. The men's 8k race will start at 8:30 a.m. with the women's 5k starting at 9:10 a.m.
About the Course: The start is wide enough to accommodate 32 teams and begins up a 300-meter hill. The first gradual turn is 450 meters from the start. The runners will be running on 98 percent grass. There are seven hills on the course; six of the seven hills are between 50 and 80 meters. The finish is approximately a 200-meter flat straight away.
The Teams: The first five finishers for each team will score. Division I teams expected to race are Oklahoma State, Air Force, Tulsa, Texas Christian, and Stephen F. Austin State, Southwest Missouri State, Sam Houston State, New Mexico and the University of Houston in the men's and women's races.
The cross country's B team will compete in the Rocky Mountain Shootout in Boulder, Colo., on Oct. 5.
