Falcons lose to Alabama-Huntsville, 4-2

In its home and conference opener, Alabama-Huntsville defeated Air Force, 4-2, in a College Hockey America game Friday, Nov. 15, at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala.
UAH earned first win of the season after six straight road losses to ranked teams. The Chargers improved to 1-6 on the season and 1-0 in the CHA. Air Force fell to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the CHA.
After a scoreless first period, the Falcons took a 1-0 lead on Tom Starkey's goal at 2:58 of the second period. UAH's Keith Rowe tied the game at 1-1 with a goal at 6:21 of the second. Charger forward Joel Bresciani then scored a natural hat trick with one goal late in the second period and two goals in the third for a 4-1 UAH lead.
AFA senior forward Scott Zwiers cut the UAH lead to 4-2 with his fourth goal of the season. His unassisted goal came at 14:13 of the third period.
UAH out-shot Air Force, 37-34, in the game. The Falcons were 0-for-5 on the power play.
Air Force concludes the series with UAH on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. CST.
