Reaney named CHA Defensive Player of the Week

Air Force Academy senior defenseman Brian Reaney was named the College Hockey America Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Radisson North Classic, Dec. 6-7, at the Cadet Ice Arena.
Reaney had four points and was named to the all-tournament team as he helped lead the Falcons to the championship. Air Force defeated Wisconsin-Stout (6-2) and Augsburg (4-2) to win the title for the second straight year and the third time in the five-year history of the tournament.
An assistant captain from Park Ridge, Ill., Reaney had two assists in each game. He leads the team and the CHA with 13 assists this season and is tied for 16th in the nation.
Air Force is 7-9 overall this season and is idle until a two-game non-conference series at Fairfield (Conn.) Dec. 28-29.
