Falcons Take Second In Triangular At TWU

The Air Force women's gymnastics team placed second in a triangular meet hosted by Texas Woman's University Sunday afternoon. The Falcons finished behind TWU (194.525) with a final team score of 193.275, followed by Southeast Missouri State (192.975). Air Force won on vault (47.900) and had three gymnasts tie for first place on three separate events.
C1C (Sr.) Bethany Stott and C2C (Jr.) Kimberly Broughton took second (38.600) and third (38.500) all-around. C2C Allison Todd finished second on vault with a 9.650. Broughton tied for first on bars scoring a 9.900. C2C Jennifer Dougherty and C1C Courtney Hamrick followed on bars with a 9.850 and a 9.800. Stott tied for first on beam with 9.800. On floor, Dougherty tied for first with a score of 9.875. Todd and Hamrick were close behind with scores of 9.850 and 9.775.
The Air Force women's team will return to action Saturday, Feb. 23 in Denver. The meet begins at 7:30 p.m.
