SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The Air Force water polo team fell in its first day of action at its season opener in the UC San Diego Triton Tournament, Sept. 7. BYU-Hawaii downed the Falcons in their first match, 6-3, followed by another loss to USC, 17-4.
Air Force led BYU-Hawaii in the first period and second periods with three unanswered goals by C3C (So.) Murphey Morgan (2) and C2C (Jr.) Kelly Greiner (1). BYU-Hawaii rallied in the third and the fourth with three goals in each period to win the match, 6-3.
The Falcons were able to score in each period against USC, with goals by C2C Kirk Reimer (2), C1C (Sr.) Charles Horn and C1C Chris Smith.
