Air Force hockey players Spanky Leonard and Peter Foster were honored by the College Hockey America conference for their performance against Bentley, Nov. 7-8.
Leonard was named the offensive player of the week as he recorded five points in a pair of road victories. The senior forward from Elk River, Minn., assisted on two goals in Friday's win and then scored his first career hat trick Saturday. All three of his goals came on the power play. The last two, including the game-winner, came 45 seconds apart.
Foster, a freshman goalie from Canton, Mich., was named the rookie of the week as he earned a victory in his first collegiate start. He made 29 saves in the game while leading Air Force to a 4-3 win.
Air Force is idle until Nov. 21-22 when the Falcons host Niagara for a two-game CHA series.
