Men's Golf Places Seventh at Cowboy Classic

The Air Force golf team finished in seventh place overall at the inaugural Wyoming Cowboy Classic. The Falcons carded a three-round total of 903 (303-306-294) in the tournament, which was held at the Talking Sticks North Course in Scottsdale, Ariz. It was six strokes off the team's low tournament score for the year and their lowest score this spring.
Arizona State won the event, finishing with an 871, 32 strokes ahead of Air Force. Gilberto Rodriguez of San Diego State took the individual title with a four-over-par 214. For the second straight tournament, freshman Jarett Hamamoto led the way for the Falcons. He finished in 18th place overall, carding a 74-76-72=222.
Air Force will play its final regular season tournament next week when they head to Provo for the annual Cougar Classic. The tournament is hosted by BYU and will take place April 25-26.
