The Air Force men's golf team placed seventh out of 12 teams at the annual Shocker Classic, hosted by Wichita State University. The Falcons notched a three-round total of 922 (303-308 311) in their third tournament of the spring.
For the first time in his career, freshman Jarett Hamamoto had the team's best score in a tournament. He notched a 229 (78-78-73). Team captain Brandon Daum was in second place overall after carding 72 in the first round, but two six-over-par rounds to close out the event dropped him from contention.
The Falcons will have one week to prepare for the Cowboy Classic. The event, hosted by the University of Wyoming, will take place April 15-16 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
