The Air Force women's basketball team kick off the second half of its Mountain West schedule this weekend, as the team travels to Albuquerque on Saturday, Feb. 14, to take on New Mexico. The Falcons will look a avenge a 22-point loss to the Lobos earlier this season.

SERIES HISTORY
The Falcons are 1-13 all-time against the Lobos. They won the teams' first meeting in 1991-92, but have lost 12 straight. Earlier this year, in the team's first meeting at Clune Arena, the Lobos won by 22 points, 65-43.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
The Falcons are riding a 10-game losing streak. Their most recent defeat was a 37-point loss to Colorado State on the road. The Falcons are shooting 36.5 percent from the field. They are still struggling from the free throw line, shooting just 60.6 percent, last in the league. Freshman Letricia Castillo leads the team and is seventh in the league with 12.9 ppg. Shawna Neff and Amoy Jackson both are averaging 9.8 ppg. Jackson is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game to lead the team.
SCOUTING THE LOBOS
New Mexico is 13-7 overall and 5-2 in the conference. They are scoring an average of 63.1 points per game, and have the top scoring defense in the league is giving up just 52.3. They lead the league in field goal defense and blocked shots. Lindsey Arndt is the only player to average in double figures in scoring with 10.2 ppg. She also leads the team with 7.8 rebound s per game. Melissa Forest (8.8) and Mandi Moore (8.1) are next on the team in scoring.
ROAD WOES
The Falcons are still looking for their first road win of the season this weekend. They have yet to win a road game this season, going winless in nine attempts. They have lost their last 17 road games, dating to last year. Their last road win was a three-point victory at Texas Pan American (Jan. 9, 2003). They have never won a Mountain West road game.
SCORING MARGIN
Midway through the conference schedule, the Falcons are still looking for their first league win. They are 0-7 and have lost the seven games by an average margin of 27 points. Last year, the team was 1-13 in league play with a -26.2 scoring margin.
UNDER 40 VERSUS WYOMING
The Falcons failed to reach 40 points for the first-time ever against Wyoming. Under Ardie McInelly, the team has been kept below 40 points just twice, both against Utah. In all Mountain West games, the Falcons have been held under 40 seven times, five times by Utah and twice by San Diego State.
LOOKING AHEAD
Air Force will be home next week to take on BYU and Utah. The Falcons are winless against the two Utah teams.
