North Dakota State Defeats Air Force, 42-0

North Dakota State, the top-ranked Division II team in the country, defeated Air Force, 42-0, Saturday afternoon in a collegiate wrestling match at the Air Force Academy's Cadet Gymnasium. NDSU dominated the match, winning all nine matches and picking up a forfeit at 125 pounds.
NDSU has a roster full of nationally-ranked wrestlers. Top-ranked Paul Carson (157) defeated Air Force's Josh Peterson, 6-3, while fellow No. 1 Thad Pike was a 5-3 winner of Jacob Lillich at 174 pounds. Second-ranked Zach Stevens defeated Derek Ebeling, 17-3, at 149 pounds while third-ranked heavyweight Joe Bryce defeated Kurt Skarstedt, 10-2. Also winning for NDSU was Nick Magee (133), Mathias Bitz (141), Mike Fiedler (165), Matt Herman (184) and Brian Kraemer (197).
NDSU improves to 12-0 this season with the win. The Falcons fall to 2-5 overall in dual matches. The Falcons remain at home next week to take on Western State on Feb. 18 and Colorado Mines on Feb. 20.
