Air Force Men Finish Competition at Rocky Mountain Shootout

BOULDER, Colo. -- Several members of the Air Force men's cross country competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout in Boulder, Colo., this afternoon (Oct.1). One of just two university-level teams competing, Air Force finished second to host Colorado.
Kenny Grosselin led the Falcons with a 33rd place finish among the 103 competitors in the college/university division with a time of 27:58. Classmate Ian McFarland clocked a 37th-place time of 28:28, while freshman Scott Balcao timed in with the same mark to finish 45th. Parker Cowles clocked in at 29:44 to finish 68th, while Justin Mason crossed the finish line just behind him at 29:45 to finish 69th. Kyle Jones (29:46) and Dan Castle (30:10) rounded out the competition for Air Force.
Next on the docket for Air Force is the Ft. Hays Invitational in Hays, Kan., next weekend (Oct. 8).
