Air Force Announces 2005 Cross Country Schedule

The Air Force cross country team released its 2005 schedule, head coach Mark Stanforth announced today. The Falcons will compete in seven meets prior to the conference, regional and national championships.
The Falcons open the 2005 season on Sept. 2, at the Wyoming Invitational in Laramie, Wyo. Air Force will then travel to Lincoln, Neb., on Sept. 17, for the annual Woody Greeno Invitational. The team will split on Oct. 1, with trips to Salem, Ore., (Willamette Invitational) and Boulder, Colo., (Rocky Mountain Shootout).
The Falcons will then travel to Hays, Kan., for the Ft. Hays Invitational on Oct. 8, before participating in the Pre-NCAA meet on Oct. 15, in Terre Haute, Ind.
Air Force will return home to Colorado Springs to host the Air Force Open on Saturday, Oct. 22.
The teams will travel north to Fort Collins, Colo., for the Mountain West Conference Championships, which will be held on Oct. 29. The Falcons will have some familiar surroundings at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Nov. 12, as MWC foe BYU hosts the regional competition in Provo, Utah. The NCAA Championships will be held in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 21.
