Nick Wilson Named MWC Runner of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Air Force cross country senior Nick Wilson (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the conference office announced today (Sept. 7). The award is the first of Wilson's career and marks the seventh consecutive season that the Falcons have had at least one conference athlete of the week.
Wilson won the 66-competitor Wyoming Invitational on Sept. 2 and guided Air Force to a second-place team finish. Crossing the finish line of the 4.25 mile race in 22:12.34, Wilson led four of the five scoring Falcons into the top-10.
Wilson and the Falcons are off until Saturday, Sept. 17, when they travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Woody Greeno Invitational.
