Knaute, Parmenter and Moss To Participate At U.S. Open

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force seniors Chris Knaute, Paul Parmenter and Ryan Moss will be amongst the 1,000 swimmers competing at the U.S. Open in West Lafayette, Ind., beginning Thursday, Nov. 30.
Highlighting the three-day meet will be 21 U.S. Olympians, including world record-holders Michael Phelps, Aaron Peirsol, Ian Crocker and Cullen Jones. In addition, four-time Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg will swim in his first major competition since the 2004 Olympic Games.
"This will be a great opportunity for these three men to qualify for the Olympic trials," head coach Rob Clayton said. "For Ryan it will be a great opportunity to swim in his home town and he should do well."
Knaute is slated to swim several freestyle events along with the medley events. Parmenter will swim the medley and back events and Moss the sprint-free events.
