Matt Williams Named MWC Runner of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Air Force sophomore Matt Williams (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named the Mountain West Conference men's cross country athlete of the week, the league office announced today (Sept. 7).
Williams finished first out of 81 runners at the Wyoming Invitational last week in Laramie, leading the Falcons to the team victory. He finished the 4.25 mile race in a career-best 22:12.0, topping his previous best by over a minute.
The Falcons are off until Sept. 23, when they travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the annual Roy Griak Invitational.
