Falcons Down Montana State, 5-2

The Air Force men's tennis team won its third consecutive match, defeating Montana State 5-2 Saturday at the Academy. The Falcons improved to 3-5 this season with the victory.
The freshman duo of Brett Rodgers and Mike Youn helped Air Force capture the doubles point with an exciting 8-7 victory over Zack Buenger and Anton Leonenko at the No. 2 spot. Rodgers and Youn won the tiebreaker, 7-4. Montana State won at No. 1 doubles, while Air Force senior Keith Cronican and freshman James Tomlin took the No. 3 match, 8-2.
Rodgers (No. 2), Youn (No. 3) and senior Ryan White (No. 6) won their singles matches in straight sets, giving the Falcons the team victory. Cronican won the most exciting singles match, downing Justin Hauck, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (4) at No. 4.
Montana State won at No. 1 and No. 5 singles.
The Falcons play Idaho State on Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Academy, beginning at 9 a.m.
