COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Air Force women's gymnastics team dropped a 194.975-184.150 decision to No. 20 Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 10, in Columbus, Ohio. Four different Falcons led the squad in scoring, with senior captain Sashonna Iwaniec taking at least a share of the top marks on two.
The Falcons posted a season-best 46.250 in the uneven bars, while earning the third-best totals of the year on the vault (46.925) and balance beam (44.775).
Junior Kelly Lewis scored a 9.500 on the vault to lead Air Force with a seventh-place finish. Freshman Emily Darone garnered a 9.425 to place eighth. Freshman Michelle Denise tied with Iwaniec for seventh on the uneven bars, as both gymnastics accounted for 9.475 scores. That score is the best by an any Air Force gymnast this season - improving the previous high by .125.
Iwaniec also led the squad on the balance beam, picking up a 9.150. Darone claimed another eighth-place mark on the beam, scoring an 8.975. Sophomore Abigail Rogers led the Falcons on the floor with a career-best 9.750 (the best score of the season by a Falcon), while Iwaniec scored a 9.500 for the Falcons second-highest total on that event.

In addition to leading the Falcons on two individual events, Iwaniec posted the top all-around score for the Falcons. Accounting for a season-best, fifth-place score of 37.475, she edged out Rogers' career-high of 37.275.
