LARAMIE, Wyo. - For the second straight year, weather has caused the cancellation of the Air Force track and field team's end-of-season meet at Wyoming this afternoon (Feb. 16). The meet, which was slated to be held at Wyoming's War Memorial Fieldhouse, was to be the team's final warm-up for next week's Mountain West Conference Championships.
The afternoon invitational was slated to feature the Falcons along with MWC foes, Colorado State and Wyoming, but high winds caused the road closures of the major highways to and from Laramie.
With the weekend off from team competition, Air Force will continue to train for the upcoming conference championships, which begin on Thursday (Feb. 22) and continue through Saturday (Feb. 25) at the ABQ Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
