SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Friday night's baseball game between Air Force and San Diego State was suspended in the bottom of the third inning due to rain. Play was halted with the Aztecs leading, 2-0.
The contest began on time just after 6:00 p.m., but suffered the first rain delay of the night at 6:25 with the game in the bottom of the second inning. Play resumed at 7:16 with the second round of rain coming at 7:43.
The game will be resumed on Saturday (Apr. 21) at 1:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium and will be followed by the seven-inning contest that is the makeup of the game that was snowed out at Air Force in mid-March.
The Aztecs and Falcons will complete the weekend series with a doubleheader on Sunday (Apr. 22) with the start time to be determined. Both of those games will be nine-inning contests.
