Falcons Set to Host AF Diving Invitational

The Air Force men's and women's diving teams are in action this weekend as they host the Air Force Diving Invitational, Feb. 1-2. Friday's events are slated to begin at 2:00 p.m., while the action will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Scouting the Falcons...
Among the leaders for the Air Force diving team is sophomore Kyle Van Valkenburg, who finished first in all four diving events for the Falcons in a pair of dual meets last week. Van Valkenburg's mark of 305.10 in the 1-meter dive ranks third in the Mountain West Conference. Meanwhile, on the women's side, junior Ashleigh Peck holds the Falcons' top mark at 1-meter, while senior Danielle Dowds leads the Air Force women in the 3-meter dive.

Among the teams expected to compete at this weekend's invitational are conference foes Colorado State (women), New Mexico (women) and Wyoming. Elyse Hall leads CSU, ranking fifth in the MWC in the 1-meter dive and fourth in the 3-meter dive. UNM's Carrie Quinn ranks third in the conference in the 1-meter dive and seventh at 3-meters. Wyoming's Mark Murdock holds the top score in the MWC in the 1-meter dive and ranks second in the 3-meter dive to lead the Cowboys, while Brittany Wainwright leads the Cowgirls, ranking fourth in the league in the 1-meter dive.
