Six Falcons Named to Academic All-MPSF Team

Six Air Force men's soccer players have been named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation academic all-conference team. Seniors Jason Dall and Reid Gaiser, juniors Jim Gullo and Aaron Eshkenazi and sophomores John Tilton and Kyle Moses were all recognized for their academic excellence.
Dall, a defender from San Diego, Calif., earned a 3.04 GPA in systems engineering management. A co-captain this season, Dall appeared in all 18 games and started 15 of them. He attempted seven shots with three on goal in 2008.
Gaiser, a forward from Denver, Colo., earned a 3.24 GPA in biology. He appeared in 17 games this season with seven starts. Gaiser tied for fifth on the squad with 11 total shots during the campaign.
Gullo, a goalkeeper from River Forest, Ill., earned a 3.77 GPA in biochemistry. He started all 18 games this season and played all but 25 minutes the entire campaign. Gullo led the MPSF with 88 saves and was sixth with a 1.64 goals-against average.
Eshkenazi, a defender from Coral Springs, Fla., earned a 3.15 GPA in civil engineering. He started all 18 games and played the second-most minutes of any Falcon in '08. Eshkenazi led a defensive corps that allowed just 1.67 goals per game and attempted 10 total shots himself.
Tilton, a defender from Arlington, Wash., earned a 3.05 GPA in biochemistry. He started all 18 games and was fourth on the team in minutes played. Tilton notched one assist during the season, setting up Zach Brinlee's game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over service-academy rival Army.
Moses, a forward from Huntington Beach, Calif., earned a 3.21 GPA in engineering management. He appeared in 15 games and started three in 2008. Moses attempted 11 total shots during the season, with two of them on goal.
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation recognizes student-athletes for their academic excellence in the classroom, as well as their individual accomplishments in intercollegiate athletics for the 2008 season. Qualifying student-athletes must possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better; must be at least a sophomore academically; must have completed at least one full academic year at the institution they are currently competing at; and must have participated in 50 percent or more to their institution's competition in their particular sport.
