Rifle team has a rough start to the New Year

In a rifle match against TCU, the Air Force shooters lost the match, 4560-4593, Saturday, Jan. 17. The rough start to the New Year left the Falcons with only one shooter setting a personal-best mark. Nick Krieger set a personal best of 576/600 in the smallbore event and was the Falcons' top shooter for the day. In air rifle, Tom Chandler was the team's top shooter with a score of 582/600. The cadets scored a 2259 in smallbore and 2301 in air rifle for the aggregate 4560. TCU pulled out a 2325 in air rifle and 2268 in smallbore (4593).

Air Force will shoot another match against TCU starting at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 18 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
