Air Force Divers Wrap Up Action at Wildcat Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. - Competing in both the men's and women's platform on Sunday, the Air Force diving team concluded action at the Wildcat Diving Invitational, hosted by Arizona.
Representing the Air Force women was senior Chelsea Tompkins (Grand Junction, Colo.). An all-conference performer on the women's platform last season, Tompkins placed eighth in the women's competition on Sunday with a score of 203.50.
Senior Kyle Van Valkenburg (Tucson, Ariz.), the two-time defending Mountain West Conference champion on the men's platform, finished second in the men's competition, posting a score of 340.25, placing one spot ahead of 2009 NCAA qualifier Brent Eichenseer of Stanford. Classmate David Arlington (Eagle River, Alaska) added a sixth-place showing in the event, registering a score of 247.55, while Cheyne Clark (So., Bainbridge Island, Wash.) and Beau Riebe (Fr., Mercer Island, Wash.) finished 10th and 12th on the men's platform, respectively.
The Falcons are off for the remainder for the semester before returning to action on Jan. 2 to wrap up winter training in Tucson.
