Following the first day of the Notre Dame Duals, the Air Force men's team was 3-3, while the women's team was 2-2 in team standings. The Falcon men's teams finished 21-6 against Detroit, winning men's epee 9-0 and sabre 8-1. The foil team lost the match 4-5. Air Force finished 26-1 against Lawrence, finishing epee 9-0, foil 9-0 and sabre 8-1. Against UC San Diego, the men's epee team finished 7-2; the foil team won 5-4, while the sabre team lost 4-5, for a combined 16-11.
The Air Force women's teams won all three events versus Detroit, winning women's epee 8-1, foil 7-2 and sabre 5-4. The teams also won all three matches against Oberlin. Air Force won epee 5-4, foil 8-1 and sabre 9-0.
The Falcons conclude competition in the Notre Dame Duals Sunday, February 8.
Day 1: The men earned wins over Detroit (21-6), Lawrence (26-1), UC San Diego (16-11). The women's team defeated Oberlin (22-5), Detroit (20-7).
