Falcons Defeat Fresno Pacific at Concordia Invitational

The Air Force water polo team posted a perfect record at the Concordia Invitational after defeating Fresno Pacific, 10-5, Sunday afternoon at Golden West College. With the victory, the Falcons improve to 7-11 on the season.
Air Force took a 3-2 lead at the end of the opening period against Fresno Pacific and never trailed the rest of the day, extending its advantage to 7-3 at the half.
For the second-straight day, senior captain Bobby Geiger (Buellton, Calif.) registered five goals to lead the Air Force offense. With his performance on the weekend, Geiger now ranks seventh in the Air Force record books in career scoring with 253 points.
Classmate Kurt Lemmen (Orlando, Fla.) added two goals and an assist, while Cruz Smithson (So., Capistrano Beach, Calif.), Josh Stedman (Fr., Brea, Calif.) and Kurt Wallin (Sr., Temecula, Calif.) all added scores. In addition, sophomore goalkeeper Mike Fish (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) recorded 12 blocks and an assist.
The Falcons return to action next weekend, Oct. 23-24, when they head to The Rodeo, hosted by WWPA rival Santa Clara.
