Falcons Fight Hard But Lose, 7-0, to TCU

The Air Force men's tennis team fell to 10-10 overall and 0-5 in Mountain West Conference action with a 7-0 loss to 63rd-ranked TCU Friday in Fort Worth, Texas. The Horned Frogs swept the three doubles matches, then won all six singles matches in straight sets. With the victory, TCU improved to 9-10 overall and 3-2 in the MWC.
The Frogs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead wins at all three doubles spots. Air Force senior Brett Rodgers and junior Taylor Soster produced the best match, falling to the nation's 67th-ranked team of Emanuel Brighiu and Christopher Price, 8-6, at the No. 1 spot.
In singles play, the Aztecs cruised through all six matches in straight sets. The closest match was at the No. 1 spot, where Brighiu downed freshman Lance Wilhelm, 6-4, 6-4, to clinch the team match. TCU did not lose more than six games in any other singles match.
Air Force moves out of the MWC for its next two matches, beginning at Texas-Arlington on Saturday, April 17 at 10 a.m. (CT).
