Day One Concludes at 2011 NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Arizona State's Riley McCormick took first place in the men's 1-meter dive, while USC's Victoria Ishimatsu won on the women's 3-meter springboard to highlight day one of the 2011 NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals, being held at the Minnesota Aquatics Center, on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
McCormick posted a score of 762.50 to win the zone championship. USC's Harrison Jones (758.95) and Arizona State's Cameron Bradshaw (736.75) finished second and third, respectively, on the men's 1-meter springboard.
Ishimatsu posted a score of 631.95 to win the zone championship. Arizona State's Elina Eggers was the runner-up in the women's 3-meter with a score of 631.10, while Stanford's Stephanie Phipps placed third with a mark of 629.25.
Action at the Zone E meet continues Friday with the men's 3-meter springboard and the women's 1-meter event.
