USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Day one action of the 2012 Falcon Diving Invitational, hosted by Air Force, was completed Friday at the Cadet Natatorium. San Diego State's Kristen Meier won both the women's 1-meter and platform diving, while Wyoming's Derek Campbell won the men's 1-meter dive.Meier took first in the 1m dive with a finals score of 307.5 points. Mariah Skeen of UNLV was second with 292.90 points. Anna Steiner of San Diego State followed in third with 280.40 points.
Wyoming swept the top three spots in the mens 1m dive. Campbell took first with 347 points. In second, was Dalton Haas with 309.05 points and Valentin Schwarz was third with 303.60 points. Air Force went fourth and fifth in the 1m, with junior Brent White scoring 273.10 points for fourth and sophomore Alex Pecci taking fifth with 271.70 points.
San Diego State dominated the platform diving, taking the top four spots. Meier won the women's platform with 239.55 points. Rafaella Suarez followed in second with 229.55 points and Steiner took third with 228.20 points.
The diving invite resumes tomorrow with the men's and women's 3m and men's platform dives. Action begins at 10 a.m. with the men's 3m dive.
