Air Force Visits New Mexico in Televised Contest

The Air Force women's basketball team closes out the first half of its conference slate on Tuesday, Jan. 31, as it visits New Mexico in a nationally televised contest. The game, which will air on The Mtn., is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.

Last Season: New Mexico swept both contests against Air Force last season, winning a 64-59 decision in Albuquerque on Feb. 2, while coming away with a 73-70 overtime victory at the Academy on March 5.
LAST TIME OUT...
Struggling offensively in the second half, Air Force dropped a 63-47 decision to UNLV Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas. Junior Dymond James led the Falcons with 14 points, while sophomore Megan O'Neil added 12 points, seven rebounds and a career-best four blocks.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS...
Air Force enters Tuesday's game with a 5-16 overall mark and 0-6 ledger in the Mountain West.
Junior Alicia Leipprandt is the Falcons' leading scorer on the season, averaging 13.8 points per game, while classmate Dymond James averages 12.8 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds per contest. James also lead the Falcons in both scoring and rebounding in conference play, averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 boards per game.
SCOUTING THE LOBOS...
New Mexico currently holds a 6-14 overall record and 0-6 mark in Mountain West play. The Lobos are coming off a 63-56 road loss to TCU.
Caroline Durbin is the leading scorer for the Lobos, averaging 15.1 points per contest, while Porche Torrance adds 10.4 points and a team-best 8.7 rebounds per game.

FALCONS ON TV...
Air Force's game against New Mexico on Tuesday night will be its first televised contest of the season. The Falcons have a total of two games which will be televised this season by The Mtn., with Air Force's game at Boise State scheduled to be broadcast as well.
FALCONS' BLOCK PARTY...
Air Force registered a season-high seven blocks against UNLV on Saturday, after entering the game averaging just 2.5 blocks per contest. Leading the way for the Falcons was sophomore Megan O'Neil, who recorded a career-high four blocks in the game.
MEGAN IN THE RECORD BOOKS...
Sophomore Megan O'Neil currently ranks in the top 10 in the Falcons' career and single-season blocks lists. She ranks fifth in the Academy's Division I record books for blocks in a season (28) and a career (45), while ranking 10th all-time at the Academy in both categories.
ANOTHER NEW LINEUP...
The Falcons' starting lineup has changed throughout the season, and Saturday's game was no different, as Air Force used its 12th different starting lineup in 21 games this season.
Eleven different players have earned at least one start for the Falcons this year, with Junior Alicia Leipprandt and sophomore Camille Thompson lead the team with 19 starts each this season, while senior captain Jamela Satterfield has started 15 of 21 games.
