Deacon Named First-Team Academic All-District

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Senior Cody Deacon of Air Force men's swimming & diving was named to the Capital One Academic All-District men's at-large team. Deacon earned first-team honors in District VII and will now be on the Academic All-America® ballot.

Deacon, a native of Portland, Ore., and a Aernoautical Engineering major, maintains a 3.84 grade-point average. Deacon recently earned a pair of honors at the team's season-ending award dinner. He earned the Senior who Contributed Most to Air force Swimming Award and the Team Overall Most Inspirational.

Deacon earned All-MPSF honors in the 100 yard breaststroke. The senior also qualified for the USA Olympic Trials in the 100 meter breast.
