Falcons place third at Bulldog Invite

FRESNO, Calif. - The Air Force women's swimming team finished third at the Bulldog Invitational in Fresno, Calif. San Jose State won the two-day meet with 1,292 points. Fresno State was second with 972 points while Air Force was third with 895.
Senior Kim Davis won three events, the 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.68), the 200-yard IM (2:03.07) and the 400-yard IM (4:26.05).
Sophomore Genevieve Miller won two events and had a second-place finish as well. She won the 1650 freestyle (17:02.28) and the 500 freestyle (4:56.69) and was second in the 200 freestyle (1:54.14).
Freshman Maria Schroeder was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.00) and third in the 100-yard butterfly (58:50).
Sophomore Kira Schlosberg was third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.91), junior Sara Menke was third in the 1650 freestyle (17:36.55) and freshman Jinan Andrews was third in the 50 free (24.06).
The 800-yard free relay team of Genevieve Miller, Jinan Andrews, Sara Menke, Kim Davis placed first with a time of 7:35.90. The 200-yard medley relay of Elise Hart, Kira Schlosberg, Maria Schroeder, Kim Davis was second (1:46.77) while the 200-yard free relay of Jinan Andrews, Brianna Mount, Maria Schroeder, Kim Davis was third (1:38.02)
In diving, junior Jessica Horn was third (255.90 points) while senior Lainie Long was fourth (254.65) in one-meter. In three meter Long was fourth (218.35) while Horn was fifth (213.30).
The women's team travels to Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday, Oct. 18, for a dual meet against the University of New Mexico.
