Hannah Everson Named Air Force Athlete of the Week

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Junior Hannah Everson was named the Air Force co-Athlete of the Week on Monday morning (Sept. 22), after pacing the women's cross country team to a second-place at the Woody Greeno Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20. It is the third such award of Everson's career.

Competing in her first 6K race of the season, Everson crossed the finish line in a time of 21:57.30 to finish second in the University Division (78 competitors) and third in the full field of 216 runners. The Colorado Springs native paced the Falcons to a pair of top-10 finishes and a second-place finish in the team standings of the University Division race. Everson has paced the Falcons in six consecutive meets, dating back to the first meet of last season.

Everson shared the department's weekly award with fencing freshman Alex Im.
