Jan. 19, 2015 - Air Force's Meredith Carpentier is this week's Co-Athlete of the Week
After leading the Air Force rifle team in a pair of matches against Patriot Rifle Conference TCU and Ohio State and service academy U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force senior Meredith Carpentier is this week's co-athlete of the week (Jan.19).
On Saturday, Jan. 17, Air Force senior Meredith Carpentier (CS35) outscored TCU's Sally Li by five points in the smallbore gun 585-580, respectively. In the air rifle, Carpentier finished with a 593, the second-highest score on the Falcons' squad. She finished the match against TCU with the highest aggregate total of 1178.
On Sunday, in smallbore, Carpentier scored 583 points and tied with OSU's Deanna Binnie. In the air rifle, Carpentier pulled out a 588, which tied with teammate Kevyn Stinett in the air gun. Carpentier's aggregate was 1171 points.
For the weekend, Carpenter tallied 2349 points overall. Air Force finished 3-1 against all teams and scored its second-highest NCAA qualifying team total (4680) of the season.
