Air Force Wrestling Drops Dual at Utah Valley

OREM, Utah - Air Force wrestling dropped a 25-13 dual at Utah Valley in Western Wrestling Conference action Friday night at the P.E. Building. The Falcons dropped to 4-4, 0-2 on the season and the Wolverines improved to 2-4, 1-1.

After racing out to a 13-0 lead by winning the first three bouts, Air Force dropped the remaining seven.

The Falcons opened with wins at 149, 157 and 165. Sophomore Jerry McGinty opened the dual with a 6-3 win over Trevor Willson at 157 pounds. Freshman Sam Kreimier then recorded a fall over Logan Addis at 157 pounds. Jesse Stafford, ranked 18th in the nation, then earned a major decision over Dalton Harmon at 165 pounds.

Michael Billingsley competed for the Falcons at 174 pounds and Zen Ikehara went at 184. Jack Carda competed at 197 pounds and Marcus Malecek at 285. Freshman Evan Ulinski competed at 125 pounds, sophomore Anthony McHugh at 133 and sophomore Conor O'Hara at 141.

Air Force returns to action with four home duals next weekend. The Falcons host New Mexico Highlands and North Dakota State on Friday, Jan. 30. Air Force then hosts South Dakota State and Grand Canyon on Sunday, Feb. 1.
