
Air Force swimming falls at UNLV

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force men's and women's swimming team dropped a dual meet against UNLV, Saturday, Jan. 24, in Las Vegas, Nev. The men lost, 161.00-137.00, while the women fell 170-130.
Genevieve Miller won three events to lead the women's team. The sophomore won the 1650 free (17:18.79), the 200 free (1:51.80) and the 500 free (5:02.53). Senior Kim Davis won two events, the 200 breaststroke (2:19.85) and the 400 IM (4:26.81). Davis was second in the 200 free (1:52.06) to Miller.
On the men's side, Michael Barnosky won two events, the 100 breaststroke (56.12) and the 200 breaststroke (2:03.74). Ryan Dunne won the 100 free with a time of 45.37. The team of Dunne, Michael Hannigan, George Frank and Jordan Dahle won the 400 free relay (3:00.01).
In diving, Jessica Horn won the women's one-meter with 239.10 points while Lainie Long was second with 236.85. Dominic Vallejo won the men's one-meter with 315.60 points. Long won the women's three-meter with 241.20 points.
The diving team hosts the Air Force diving invitational, Friday-Saturday, Jan. 30-31, at the Cadet Natatorium. The women host a dual meet against Colorado State on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. The men's swimming team travels to Denver for the Colorado Sprint Championships.
