LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Senior Hannah Everson and junior Kyle Eller earned All-America honors this afternoon (Nov. 21), as a trio of Air Force runners concluded competition at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky. It is the first time since 1967 that Air Force has accounted for multiple All-America awards at the same championship meet.
Everson became the first female in Academy history to earn All-America cross country honors at the Division I level, as she clocked a time of 20:15.5 to finish 22nd in the 254-runner championship event. As she has done all season, the senior made her way into the lead pack of runners at the start. Clocking a 2000-meter split of 6:41.3 (20th), the senior stayed within the top 25 for the entire 6000-meter course.
With today's time, Colorado Springs native now holds the three fastest 6K times in Air Force's DI history (19:50.20 at Washington Invitational, 20:01.20 at Pre-Nationals, 20:15.50 at NCAA Championships).
Eller earned the men's 11th All-America accolade -- and the first since 2003 -- as he finished 28th out of 252 runners with a time of 30:17.3. The junior, who was 120th at the early 2000-meter split (5:54.6), picked his way through the field, moving into 80th at the 5200-meter checkpoint (15:35.0) and 37th at the 8000-meter mark (24:03.1), before climbing up nine spots in the final 2000 meters to finish 28th.
A native of Lowell, Ind., Eller registered the men's best finish at an NCAA Championship since Eric Mack in 1995 (third) and the fastest 10K (30:17.3) in a championship race since 1990 (Chris Nelson, 30:05).
Senior Patrick Corona also finished within the top half of the men's race today at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park, as he clocked a time of 31:06.6 to finish 115th.
New Mexico (women) and Syracuse (men) claimed the 2015 team titles, while Notre Dame's Molly Seidel and Oregon's Edward Cheserek claimed the individual titles in their respective championships.
Today's championship meet capped a remarkable cross country season that included the men's Mountain West team title, five all-conference selections, the MW Coach of the Year, the Mountain Region women's champion, four all-region honorees, the USTFCCCA Mountain Region Female Athlete of the Year and a pair of All-Americans.

Head Coach Ryan Cole
"Today followed what seemed to be our theme for the year...just solid outings. No one had a miraculous day but to have two out of our three competitors earn All-American status is a very positive end to the season."
"Hannah knew on any given day she was ready to be contending for a top 10 finish. But to earn her first All-American honor - and the first Division I XC All-American honor for a female cross country runner at any service academy - lets you know how special of an athlete Hannah is and what a great season she has had."
"Kyle really opened up for the first time today to see what he could do and ran extremely well over the last 5k to earn an All-American placing. He's taken his running to a new level and I'm excited for his future."
"Patrick had a tough day today as he may have still been feeling the effects of his regional race. But I have no doubt that Kyle, Hannah, and everyone in our program has made progress this year due to Patrick's leadership. He is the heart of our team."
