
Air Force Wrestling Drops Dual To #17 Oregon State

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force wrestling dropped a 36-3 dual to #17 Oregon State in a non-conference dual Sunday afternoon at Clune Arena. The Falcons dropped to 6-7 on the season and the Beavers improved to 12-1.
Oregon State won nine weight classes to roll to the win. The Beavers had three falls on the day, posting falls at 125, 165 and 184 pounds.
Air Force's lone win came from sophomore Jerry McGinty. McGinty defeated Abraham Rodriguez at 149 pounds winning the tiebreaker in overtime.
Five ranked wrestlers competed on the day. Ronnie Bresser, ranked 11th, had a fall over freshman Drew Romero at 125 pounds. Alex Elder, ranked 20th, had a decision over freshman Sam Kreimier at 157 pounds. Senior Jesse Stafford, ranked 18th, lost to Seth Thomas at 165 pounds.
Taylor Meeks, ranked seventh, recorded a fall over freshman Zen Ikehara at 184 pounds. Cody Crawford, ranked 20th, had a decision over senior Jack Carda at 197 pounds.
Air Force returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 18, hosting Northern Colorado in its final home dual.
