The time set a new school record, the third new school record in relays at the championships. The Falcons also posted new Academy records in the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay on the first day of the championships.
"This was a terrific day of swimming for us today," head coach Rob Clayton said. "The divers were phenomenal, going first and third on the one meter. The 100 free was a huge event for us and then we closed out the night by finishing second in the 4x50. This is a long meet, but we are in the lead right now and the reason is our depth. Everyone has done their job to get us to this point. We did some great things today and are really excited. Now we just need to keep it rolling.
