Taylor named Air Force athlete of the week

Senior Grant Taylor posted a perfect 4-0 record at No. 1 singles and doubles vs. #37 SDSU and #75 UNLV last week. He was 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles and posted his first-career win over a ranked player with a come-from-behind win over SDSU's Freddie Gelbrich, 2-6, 7-6, 1-0. Gelbrich was ranked #105 nationally. Taylor posted an impressive 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 win on Sunday over Ace Matias of UNLV, who was ranked #5 in the Mountain Region. Taylor and doubles partner Lucas Fumagalli are the only undefeated No. 1 doubles team in the conference and defeated the #60-ranked doubles team from SDSU on Friday.
