Air Force Water Polo beats Cal Lutheran, 14-7

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Ten different Falcons scored goals as 14^th-ranked Air Force defeated Cal Lutheran, 14-7, in a non-conference college water polo game Friday, Sept. 25, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The Falcons improved to 2-7 overall this season while CLU fell to 2-5.

Air Force built a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in earning its second win of the season. After leading 7-3 at the half, the Falcons outscored the Kingsmen, 7-4, in the second half.

Scott McDill, Eric Curia, Riley Thomas and Justin Harrison each scored two goals for the Falcons. Riley Quinlan, Garrett Fisk, Robby Stiefel, George Millard, Bryce Leiter and Ryan Dorris all found the back of the net. Quinlan led the Falcons with two assists while Stiefel led the team with three steals. Senior Caleb Guarino earned the win between the pipes, making 10 saves.

The Falcons play a pair of games on Saturday, Sept. 26 in Malibu, Calif. Air Force will renew its service academy rivalry with16th-ranked Navy at 9 a.m. PT and will then take on ninth-ranked Pepperdine at 11:30 a.m. PT. The Falcons and Midshipmen have not played since 2009. Air Force's last win against Navy came in 2000.
