Falcons' rifle team swept opponents in today's match

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Air Force swept the rifle match against Nevada-Reno and UTEP on Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Air Force Academy. For the second straight day, the Falcons outscored their opponents with a 4696 aggregate. Nevada had a 4646 and UTEP scored 4622 points. Air Force is now 5-2 for the season.
Top Individuals: Air Force shooter senior Ryan Jacobs was the top individual in both matches, scoring a 588 in small bore and 595 in air rifle and finished with an aggregate 1183. Sophomore Spencer Cap was the second highest finisher with an 1175 aggregate score. Nevada's Mitchell Van Patten had the No. 2 score in small bore with a 584. Around the NCAA: Air Force had the second highest aggregate (4696) among the seven NCAA schools competing today. No. 2-ranked West Virginia finished with a 4721 in their match against Ohio State (4670).
