"With our upperclassmen in California, the Mines meet was a great chance for our younger guys to step up," men's swimming head coach Rob Clayton said. "Blake Lawrie was outstanding winning all of his events and dominating the relays. Ben Brockman had a great day with really good times. Kyle Bundesmann picked up first college win. Andrews Weiss dominated both breast stroke events. Cole McAnany won 100 back and was outstanding. Kyle Temple had some tremendous swims. His200 fly, especially was a great swim. Out upperclassmen went up against some of the top teams in country in Stanford and Cal. We had some very nice swims out there. WE will pull the team back together for a real key WAC matchup with Wyoming this week (Thursday, Oct. 27). It is always a tough meet, usually our toughest meet of the year. We will have to be a whole lot better to beat Wyoming, but our guys always respond. We have to show up ready to go and we are looking forward to it."
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams host the University of Wyoming in a dual meet on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5 pm at the Cadet Natatorium. Admission is free.
