Falcons in eighth after day one of MW Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Mountain West Women's Swimming and Diving Championships kicked off with two relays and one diving event on Wednesday, Feb. 17, in College Station, Texas.
Air Force sits in eighth place with 48 points. Nevada is in first place with 129 points, followed by Boise State (91), San Diego State (86), San Jose State (72), UNLV (64), Colorado State (56) and Wyoming (51). After Air Force, Fresno State is in ninth place with 38 and New Mexico is 10th with 24.
In the first event of the meet, Air Force placed eighth in the 200 medley relay as the team of Emma Strom, Leah Weber, Elise Hart and Brianna Mount posted a time of 1:41.79. In 1-meter diving, senior Jessica Horn placed fifth in the "B" Final, 13th overall, with 256.55 points. In the final event of the day, the 800 free relay, the team of Sara Menke, Jinan Andrews, Maria Schroeder and Genevieve Miller was eighth with a time of 7:22.55.
